Since 1982, Sensing Devices Incorporated has supplied high-quality platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) elements to manufacturers and users of Platinum Resistance Thermometers (PRTs).

SDI serving industries such as; Aerospace/Defense, Power/Energy, Pharmaceutical, Research, Petrochemical, Food and Dairy & textiles. Manufactured in Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA, SDI maintains a large stock of standard detectors.

SDI also maintains its own in-house laboratory to provide accurate and reliable detector, assembly, and Thermometer (IPRT) calibration. Calibration are performed using ice bath, triple point of water, and comparison calibration methods utilizing fluidized baths on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90). Custom calibrations can be performed over the range of Lq Ni to +661 degrees Celsius.
